Sweet Adelines, International is a non-profit organization for women; our purpose is to teach & perform the art of four-part acappella harmony, barbershop style, and to encourage a universal appreciation of the tradition of that musical art form.

Northern Gateway Chorus is one of over 600 choruses all over the world.  Our chorus has a membership of women from Redding and the surrounding areas, from all walks of life, and all ages.  Our love for four-part harmony brings us all together in a wonderfully eclectic group.

Since our hobby is that of a "performing art" we perform throughout the year for various organizations, community functions, family gatherings, business meetings, Singing Valentines, an annual show, etc.  Our rehearsals offer a fun environment for women to learn the basics of effective singing techniques and to continue our musical education.  Each Spring we compete with other choruses at our Regional Convention, as we work towards our goal of achieving "musical excellence". 

Sweet Adelines is a multifaceted organization that provides musical education as well as the opportunity to learn, grow, and shine in many other areas.  You can be as involved as you choose, and learn as much as you wish.  PERSONAL GROWTH IS ONE OF OUR FINEST BYPRODUCTS!
