Our Chorus Leadership

Our Chorus thrives because of the energy and style of the people who have stepped up to lead. Here are a few of the people that make our ensemble tick:

 

Martha Segura - Director

Martha is new to our chorus, but not to Sweet Adelines!  Her energy, enthusiasm & love of singing are contagious, and she's in demand as a chorus & quartet coach.  She directed the award-winning Mission Valley Chorus in Los Gatos, and has competed in quartets at the International level, consistently placing in the top ten.  She also directs our sister chorus in Medford, OR, the Southern Oregon Sound Chorus, which earned a First Place Small Chorus medal in May, 2011. 

 

Assistant Directors

Donna Moore is our immediate past Director, & has chosen to sing in the chorus & help out as an Assistant to Martha.

 

Joyce Creller is also a past Director, & enjoys singing in the chorus & assisting Martha.

 

 

Music Team

The Music Team is made up of two Section Managers from each section.  The goal is that each chorus member is musically prepared for all performances.  Each Music Team member works within her section to help each member reach that goal.  These leaders also assist in teaching new songs & assuring that the director's plans are followed.  This group meets monthly with the Director.

 

 

Karen Fletcher - President

Karen heads a great Board of Directors, and manages to keep everyone on the Team pulling in the same direction.

 

Board of DirectorsThe goal of the Board of Directors is to manage the business of the chorus so that the music may go forth unimpeded.  The Board also oversees the various Teams that "work in the background" - such as Publicity, Membership, Hospitality, History, Music & Media Library, etc.  This group meets monthly.
